Bob Evans is one of my favorite Sunday morning digs. What I like is that everything is what you expect from going out for breakfast. The food is typical morning food with two exceptions: 1. The food is nowhere near as greasy as most places 2. You can get crepes with your meal (this seals the deal for me) Aside from having pretty good food, the service has always been good. I've never had an order wrong, or had to wait for my coffee or water to be topped. Try: The Farmer's Choice breakfast with a blueberry crepe Avoid: The Biscuit Bowls (A ton of calories without the matching taste)

Great country food and great service is what the Bob Evans restaurants are about and at this location and with this waitstaff, they have succeeded. The location is a little out of our way, but we had decided to just go for a drive and realized we were hungry when we saw the billboard on I-77. A quick half mile from the highway, we found it. At this time of day (early bird hour, between lunch and dinner), the restaurant was very empty. We were pleasantly greeted and seated immediately. Our orders were taken quickly and our very friendly waitress brewed a fresh pot of decaf for my wife. I went with the sweet tea, a glass that never saw empty (though could maybe have used less ice). Our meals were served not more than five minutes later. A "homestead" breakfast with eggs over easy, sausage links, biscuits and gravy for Mrs. and a pot roast breakfast for me - a serving of pot roast and those great BE potatoes topped with (my choice) two basted eggs. We darned near cleared our plates. The sausages were just perfectly cooked with a few light char marks and tasted rather peppery. The hash brown potatoes are more like diced red potatoes (with the skins on!) than the chopped ones I've experienced at Denny's. Overall, I find that BE is much lighter on the grease than Denny's or IHOP, though I'm sure there's just as much hidden fat. Out of sight, out of mind. BE also has salads sandwiches and dinners, but no matter the time of day we visit, it seems that we're always in the mood for breakfast.

It's Bob Evans, so you might know what to expect, except it's a little better than it once was. The breakfast is better than IHOP, and is served all day. They now have an array of salads, sandwiches, burgers, and homestyle meals since their menu has been revamped. The place appears very clean and well lit for this type of place too. I know a couple of the ones in Charlotte closed, but this one seems to do okay. Surprisingly our server didn't write down our orders (5 people) with special requests, and everything was correct. It wasn't a bad meal except for the old lady at the table near us constantly blowing here nose.

This was my first trip to a Bob Evans and initially I was impressed. It kind of reminded me of a Cracker Barrell, but Cracker Barrell has better food. Not many vegetarian selections, which I am used to when going into these types of restaraunts. The service was good, but the food was well below average.....and they got my order wrong. I'll give them a generous 2 stars based on the service.

Nice atmosphere and hostess was exceptional. Our waitress seemed new because we had a few questions that should have been easily answered, but I can't be sure. We were seated kind of near the middle of the restaurant, but we could hear the kitchen and wait staff joke around for almost the entire length of our stay. The food was definitely not what I expected from reading other reviews posted. I ordered a blackened steak done medium. The steak was supposed to come with vegetables on top of it, but it came out as a bare blackened steak w just spices. As our menus were already taken up I inquired w the waitress, and she said she had to check. She took my steak back and returned w only diced peppers on it. So once again I inquired about the veggies and she came back w a dish of onions. I cut into my steak, and it was prepared well done rather than medium, but at this point I was afraid to send it back bc i know how restaurants can be. My husband ordered the turkey with dressing and requested a sweet potato as a side. When the waitress came out with the food, the plate had mashed potatoes instead, and she said they ran out of sweet potatoes. Most of the time when we've encountered a restaurant that's out of something, they usually come out and ask what other item we want instead of just bringing out something we didn't even order. Since we had both already been served our food, and I'm pregnant, my husband didn't want to be rude and send it back to get something of his choosing thereby making me wait to eat. She brought us our ticket, and then never came back. We waited for about 15 minutes to get to go boxes and finally my husband signaled her over to get some. We were her only customers as there were only 4 other seated tables in the restaurant tonight. Upon arriving home we had a friend call and place an order to inquire if they were out of sweet potatoes bc we realized with the kitchen messing up so much and the laziness of the employees that they probably lied to us. Sure enough they had sweet potatoes. We will definitely not be coming back to Bob Evans and are contacting their corporate office.

We just visited the Rock Hill, SC for a 2 week Christmas vacation visiting the family that lives there. We ate at Bob Evans several times and was never disappointed. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner meals and each time we were very satisfied with the meal. The portions are great. The food is excellant. The service was awesome. Very nice people working there. My fiancee who at times can be a bit picky on his food (especially on his coffee) was also very happy with the service and food. He loved the coffee. I know when we return to the Rock Hill area... we'll be eating at Bob Evans.

When you go to Bob Evans you know you're not expecting a gourmet meal. It's a family style restaurant with consistently good food with big servings. I always get a vegetable platter and that hits the spot for me when I'm hankering for comfort food. My kids get the burgers and fries (large portions) or the breakfast food. You can't go wrong when you want something that reminds you of home.

We wanted Breakfast for dinner. Over half of the tables in the place were empty, but still had to stand at the entrance for five minutes before even being acknowledged. Then we started ordering breakfast food. I wanted grits - they said they "don't have grits this late." Okay, fine - can I have hash browns? "No, sorry. We are all out." Okay, how about home fries? "I'm very sorry. We are out of those too." I mean, really? What's the point of trying to get breakfast food at this point? My wife settled on pancakes and eggs. The eggs came out swimming in butter. By swimming I mean they were literally sitting in a puddle of butter covering the entire plate and all over the eggs. They were sent back (I HATE sending food back, but they really were not edible) and came back just fine. We also ordered a kids omelette and fruit for my toddler son. I asked for no cheesenn the omelette. It was covered in cheese. I didn't say a word.

First visit to a Bob Evans and I got a wildfire chicken salad. The food looked amazing.... Until it ended up in my toilet as I was food sick all night last night. I won't be back. Service was great though. Just put a bad taste in my mouth (literally) about the food safety rules for this place. I have reported it and they will send coupons- but I just won't go back.

You really can't go wrong with country cooking at bob evans. The service here is always good , but this time around our server Tammy went above and beyond. If it's your first time here, try anything slow cooked, or the crepes if you have a sweet tooth. Great place for kids as they have a larger kids menu than most places.

I don't get it. My parents are obsessed with it and think it's the Mecca for home cooking And salads. After a third visit and having tried salads, home cooking, and the desserts I'm dumbfounded. I think it's average, over processed food. Maybe I'm just spoiled living in San Francisco. I can barely stomach the place.

I must sing the praises of our waitress Tammy who took care of us on Sunday morning. She was absolutely the best waitress I have ever had in my entire life! Liked her so much I gave her a hug. This was actually only my second time here and the first was memorable because they have such a wonderful selection of food but this second time takes the cake! I will so go back and ask for Tammy to be our waitress again. We had a lot of fun while she did not hover, got the order correct and went out of her way for us. She was quick and prompt not only with us but with other tables as well. The hostess was also a jewel and the cashier very friendly, too. Had sucha lovely time. The manager even swung by to see how everything was! Perfect. The homefries were excellently seasoned and I'm not usually a home fries kinda gal!

Food was good. Wait was long and I came after lunch rush. I ordered pancakes and they had to make it over 3x. The batter was too soft and it wasn't made correctly. It was a lot of food for a good price. The French vanilla cappuccino gave me life. I was visiting for the first time.

Run. As fast as you possibly can in any other direction you can find. You'll find tastier selections at McDonald's for crying out loud. Pro: The restaurant was very clean and smelled nice (like pancake syrup). Cons: The food. I ordered potato-crusted trout (grilled, according to the menu), steamed broccoli, and a loaded baked potato. Cinnamon bread was my bread choice. Here's the breakdown: Fish was fried at an incorrect temp. It arrived soaked in grease and nearly burned. I felt my arteries close from all the stale-tasting fry grease. Quit after a few bites. Broccoli: Brown and shriveled as though it was steamed yesterday and had been out on the counter since then. Potato: Cold Bread: Soggy and mostly tasteless I left hungry.
